Thirty Years Ago - May 10, 1923
Mrs. Samantha A. Newell, 80, passed away at the home of her daughter, Miss Medora Newell, May 1, after an illness of several weeks. Family services were held from the Austin, Elquest, Slack undertaking parlors on Tuesday evening and the remains shipped to the old home at Dubuque, Ia. Survivors besides her daughter are a son, John Newell of Salt Creek, and two granddaughters, Miss Doris and Louise Sewell, both of Lusk.
