Obituary

The following article, published in the Van Tassell Booster, is courtesy of the Wyoming Newspaper Project.

Edna D. Heavin passed away at her home in Van Tassell, Nov. 4, 1920, at 9 o'clock a.m. after a long serious illness.

She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Glass of Norfolk, Nebr. She was born at Battle Creek, Nebr. June 28, 1889, after which she with the family moved to Wayne County Nebraska, where she lived until she was married to Chas. M. Heavin, Aug. 24, 1920. To this union were born three children, Elmo, Iola and Harvey.

She is survived by her husband and three children, her father and mother, one brother Louis Glass of Glenrock, Wyo. and one sister, Mrs. W. T. Jones of Hugo, Colo.

She was a member of the Baptist Church of Glenrock, where she had a host of friends and she was very active in church and S. S. work. She had a beautiful class of little tots in the S.S. at that place as long as she was able to teach them, and said that was the most happy time of her life.

She was a devoted wife and mother and left a host of friends where ever she went.
