Funeral services for Anna E. Christianson, 87, were Jan. 6, 1997, at the Bader Funeral Home in Lusk with the Rev. Helen Oates officiating. Burial followed in the Lusk Cemetery. Memorials are to the Niobrara County Memorial Nursing Home.

She died Jan. 2, 1997, at the Niobrara County Memorial Hospital in Lusk. She was born Sept. 6, 1909, in Walla Walla, Wash., to John and Matilda Hargens Schwartz. The family later moved to Stapleton, Neb. She married Raymond Christianson in 1929 and they moved to a homestead in Niobrara County. In 1954, they moved to a farm near Huntley. They later moved to Torrington and to Lusk in 1984.

Survivors include sons and their wives Carl and Cheryll Christianson and Leroy and Melva Christianson, all of Lusk; brother Clarence Schwartz of North Platte, Neb.; sister Pauline Lundy of Grand Island, Neb; grandchildren Kelly Christianson, Curtiss Christianson, Valerie Wasserburger all of Lusk, and Lori Milke of Hays, Kan.; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Henry, Harry and Bill; and sisters Hattie and Julie.

Bader Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
