Mrs. Franc Fern Jones Dies in Hospital Oct. 30

Mrs. Franc Fern Jones, 65, mother of Haydn A. Jones of Lance Creek, died at the Spencer Hospital October 30, of chronic diabetes.

Funeral services were held in the Peet Chapel at 10 a.m. Tuesday morning, with Rev. Jacob Nein officiating. Mrs. Carl Peterson and Mrs. Otha Holcomb sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "God Will Take Care of You," accompanied by Mrs. J. P. Watson at the organ.

Pallbearers were O. W. McDaniels, B. L. Massie, Fred Aten, Lyle Miller, Verne Lamb and Carl Brus. Rev. Nein also conducted the graveside service at the Guernsey cemetery.

Mrs. Franc Fern Jones was born October 7, 1889 at Oskaloosa, Iowa, the daughter of Franklin and Martha Robertson.

In June of 1911 she married David E. Jones at Sunrise. The couple had three children: Haydn A. Jones of Lance Creek, Helen V. Jones of Denver and Wilda V. Jones who died in May, 1932. Mrs. Jones was also preceded in death by her husband in 1940.

Surviving, besides one son and one daughter, are two sisters, Laura Jones and Mabel Melton of Sandpoint, Ida.; and four brothers, John Robertson of Sandpoint, W. E. Robertson of San Diego, Cal., Sam Robertson of Guernsey and Ernest Robertson of Van Tassell. Also four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
