Mrs. Frank Martin Passes Away At Savannah, Missouri

Mrs. Jennie Martin, wife of Frank Martin from near Van Tassell, passed away suddenly from a heart attack while receiving medical care in a hospital in Savannah, Mo., on July 30th.

Mrs. Martin had been in poor health for a number of years but her sudden passing came as a shock to her many friends.

The remains were brought to Lusk where they were in charge of the Peet Mortuary and the funeral services were held in Van Tassell on Monday with the Rev. Cowmman officiating and burial was made in the Lusk cemetery.

The pall bearers were Ed Lewis, Len Seegrist, Ed McKelvey, George Hulse, Andrew McMaster and Nick Crelly.

OBITUARY
Jennie Bixby Steers Martin was born January 1, 1867, at Warren, Ill., and passed away July 30, 1936, at Savannah, Mo.

She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, a sister Mrs. Roy Martin, of Melrose Park, Ill.; two brothers, George Bixby of South Wayne, Wis.; and Wm. Bixby, of Milton, Ill; a son, Roy Steers of Denver; and four grandchildren and one great grandchild of Denver.

She was married to Frank Martin of Chicago, December 3, 1903, at Hammond, Ind. In 1913 they left Indiana and came to Wyoming where they took up a claim five miles west of Van Tassell at which place they have since resided.

Mrs. Martin was well and favorably known and she will be greatly missed by her many friends.
