Wanda F. Liamos

Wanda F. Liamos, 83, of Cheyenne passed from this life April 29 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.

Wanda was born Dec. 22, 1925, at Newcastle, the daughter of Wallace and Orpha (Burdick) Boulden.

She spent her younger years on the homestead ranch on Little Thunder Creek, west of Clareton. When Wanda was 5 the family bought a ranch on Oil Creek, nine miles southwest of Newcastle. She attended school in Newcastle and following graduation in 1944 she attended the University of Colorado at Boulder. On Aug. 26, 1947, she married Paul Liamos Jr. of Newcastle in a garden ceremony at the home ranch. Over the years the couple resided in Laramie, Cheyenne and Newcastle at various times.

While in Newcastle, Wanda was employed by the Weston County Treasurer's Office, First State Bank and Johnston Fuel Liners. She also felt privileged to have been associated with Job's Daughters for many years. By the late 1980's they had moved back to Cheyenne permanently. Honored to have shared her life are her family and numerous friends.

She is survived by her husband, Paul; niece, Donna (Jim) Dark of Sundance; great-nieces, Jacki Jedrykowski and Darby (Jason) Smiley of Rapid City, S.D. and Jayme (Brock) Buresh of Colorado Springs, Colo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Dora Hayward and her niece, Heather Jedrykowski.

Graveside rites will be at noon Saturday at Dellview Cemetery in Manville.
