Stella Margaret Bacheller

Graveside services for Stella Margaret Bacheller, 91, were held Saturday March 9, 1991, at 11 a.m. at the Lusk Cemetery in Lusk, Wyo. with Rev. Marilyn J. Engstrom of St. George's Episcopal Church officiating.

Bacheller died Wednesday, March 16, 1991 at Converse County Memorial Hospital in Douglas following an extended illness.

She was born Sept. 16, 1899 in Manville the daughter of William Sheridan and Catherine (Sothman) Hitshew. She was reared and educated in Lusk, graduating from Lusk High School. She attended and graduated from the University of Wyoming in Laramie. She was married to Harold Bacheller in 1923. They lived in Lusk, and then in 1924, they moved to Casper where he practiced law.

In 1987she moved to Douglas and resided at the McComb Retirement Center until the time of her death. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and PEO in Casper.

She is survived by her son and his wife, Harold and Roberta Bacheller of Fort Collins, Colo.; her daughter and husband, Jean and Preston Mitchell of Hayward, Calif.; two sisters, Elva Costin of Peoria, Ariz. and Juliana Saul of Douglas; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1965; one brother and one sister.

A memorial to the American Heart Association would be equally appreciated by the family.

The Converse Funeral Chapel of Douglas was in charge of arrangements.
