Kenneth G. Baker

Graveside services for Kenneth G. Baker, 52, were held Friday, May 22, 1992, at the Lusk Cemetery with Dan Anderson of the Lusk Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints Church officiating. Military honors were provided by American Legion Post 8 of Douglas.

Baker died Monday, May 18, 1992, at his home in Glenrock. He was born Nov. 26, 1939, in Lusk, the son of Clarence and Mae Baker. He attended high school and entered the Navy in 1957. He served as a flight engineer and flew all over the world during is 20 years of service, which included two tours of duty in Viet Nam. He retired from the Navy in May 1976.

He married Mary Shannon Davis on March 4, 1963. He later married his present wife, Marilyn.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; one daughter, Denise Powell; one brother, Stanton L. Baker; his mother and step-father Mae and Claude Shepherd of Glenrock; his father and step-mother, Clarence and Ruth Baker of Trona, Calif.; two grandchildren, Brian and Daniel Powell; one aunt, Anna Robertson; one uncle, Melvin Baker and many other relatives and friends.
