Doris E. (Kokesh) Dissette
Doris Dissette of Greeley died March 8, 2012 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Colo. Doris was born Jan. 6, 1932 to Pete and Gertrude (McLain) Kokesh in Sundance, Wyo.
Doris received her early education in a one-room schoolhouse located near the family farm. She graduated from Upton High School in 1950. Doris was a long time resident of Greeley. She was a real estate broker and manager for many years with Union Colony Brokers as well as Greeley Realty and Mortgage Company. Doris served on many advisory boards. Always a Wyoming girl at heart, Doris loved her friends and family in the Greeley and surrounding area, choosing to make it her home following her retirement in 2000.
Doris is survived by brother, Donald Kokesh of Upton, Wyo.; children, Russell Pollard of Cheyenne, Wyo., Randall (Georgianna) Pollard of Lyons, Colo. and Nikki (Russ) Michael of Torrington, Wyo.; step-children, Gene (Claudia) Bartow of Lusk, Wyo., Vicki Bartow Scott of Lusk, Wyo., Gary (Judy) Dissette of Huntsville, Al., Mark Dissette of Aurora, Colo. and Mike (Valerie) Dissette of Boise, Idaho; twenty grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Doris is preceded by her parents; husband, Grant Dissette; daughter-in-law, Irene Pollard; son-in-law, Jerry Scott; sister-in-law, Nancy Kokesh; step-son, Steve Dissette.
Visitation 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Stoddard Funeral Home. Funeral Service 11 a.m. Friday at Stoddard Funeral Home. Interment 3 p.m. Friday at Beth El Cemetery in Cheyenne.
