Evelyn Ladonna Erspamer

Evelyn LaDonna Erspamer, 79, of Mount Vernon, Wash., passed away peacefully on March 11, 2012 at Skagit Valley Hospital.

Evelyn was one of 12 children and was born to James and Leona Roberts in Thermopolis, Wyo. on Sept. 29, 1932. Her family later moved to Lusk, Wyo.

Evelyn worked at United General Hospital in the business department for 25 years. She was honored as employee of the year in 1981. She loved her job and the people she worked with.

Evelyn loved to travel, play bingo and most of all spend time with her family. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always had a twinkle in her eye and a mischievous smile.

Evelyn is survived by her husband William, son William, daughters and son-in-laws Jaynie and Richard Roozen, Jacqueline and Dan Spurgeon, Joni and David Taylor. She is also survived by her grandchildren Megan Erspamer, Tyler Roozen and his wife Kasey, Ashley Roozen, Walker and Grant Spurgeon, Noah and Jordan Taylor, great-grandchildren Emmalee and TJ Roozen, sister Kathleen Bowers, and brothers Wesley and Alvin Roberts.

Mom, you have always been the hero, the wind beneath our wings. You were the most kind, gentle soul we have ever known. You will be in our hearts forever.
