Sarah Marilla Stillman
Over a Century Old
Wednesday morning at 2 o'clock, that venerable and esteemed lady, one of Lusk's early settlers, Mrs. Sarah M. Stillman, passed away after a lingering illness of several months' duration, at the extraordinary age of 100 years, 2 months and 20 days. She died full of years and good deeds; she was respected, loved and honored by all who knew her and the recollection of her life work will always be an inspiration to her friends. It was a strange coincidence that she passed away on the day that the Stillman Library (named for her) was opened to the public.
The remains were shipped yesterday to Cleveland, Ohio, for interment, and were accompanied by her daughter Mrs. C.M. Lusk, and her grandson Frank S. Lusk. A large assemblage of Lusk citizens was at the depot to pay their respects to the memory of the deceased.
Card of Thanks
We wish to acknowledge with gratitude and appreciation the generous expressions of sympathy manifested by our neighbors and friends during the recent illness and death of Mrs. S. M. Stillman.
Cornelia M. Lusk,
Frank S. Lusk
