George S. Brooks in Lusk Since 1917

George S. Brooks, 82, of Lusk died Friday morning at the Manring Convalescent Home from complications of old age. Funeral services were held Sunday at 4:00 p.m. from Peet Chapel with Rev. Don Offey officiating. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Mrs. Emmerson Bonner and Mrs. A. F. DeCastro sang "Old Rugged Cross" and "Rock of Ages." Mrs. J. P. Watson was organist.

Pallbearers were C. E. Marvin, Jake Wahl, Albert Penn, Orville Manring, Matt Bast and Everette Brooks.

George Swan Brooks was born January 21, 1876 in Wisconsin. He has made his home in Lusk since 1917. He was a retired carpenter. One son, George of Douglas, survives.
