Hugh "Bert" Burton Earnest
Former Harrison Rancher Dies in Colo.
H. B. (Bert) Earnest of Glenwood Springs, Colo., formerly of Harrison, Neb., died May 14 in Glenwood Springs following an illness of seven weeks.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. May 17, at the Farnum chapel in Glenwood springs with Rev. Samuel L. Maxwell officiating. Burial was in the Rosebud cemetery under the direction of the Farnum Mortuary.
Mr. Earnest was born in Ft. Collins, Colo., April 1, 1875 and was 80 years old at the time of his death. He spent his childhood and early manhood in Ft. Collins and Harrison where he was married to Miss Ella C. Will. He was a rancher and had resided in the Glenwood Springs area for the past 37 years. For 13 years he had served on the Garfield County High School Board.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ella Earnest; two sons: Chester T. and Ralph A., both of Glenwood Springs; two sisters living in California and five grandchildren.
