THEO. LENGENFELDER OF JAY EM DIES

Theodore Lengenfelder, 63, of Jay Em, passed away at the Spencer Hospital on Friday, February 16 (as published). He was seriously ill when he entered the hospital and surgery was resorted to in an effort to save his life, but he survived only short time.

He came to the Jay Em vicinity in 1916 and purchased a ranch west of that town and resided there until his death.

The deceased had never married and had no relatives here, but a brother, Fred, of Herman, Mo., came for the funeral services, which were held in Jay Em on Monday.

Rev. Ezra Duncan, pastor of the Baptist Church, officiated, and interment was made in the Jay Em cemetery. The casket bearers and musicians were friends of the Jay Em community.

Funeral arrangements were in charge of the Peet Mortuary of Lusk.
