Edwin Alanson Wolverton

Ed Wolverton, of Ogden Utah, formerly of Lance Creek, died December 31, 1987 at his home. Services were held Jan. 5, 1988 at the Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel in Ogden. Bishop O. Kenneth Sandberg officiated. Burial was in Byron, Wyoming.

Edwin Alanson Wolverton was born April 7, 1899 to Thomas E. and Annie L. Marley Wolverton. He was reared and educated in Ogden, Utah. He married Lou Belle Ames on Feb. 25, 1922 in Lovell, WY. The couple lived in Anaconda, MT, Lovell and Byron before coming to Lance Creek in the late 1930's. Mrs. Wolverton died in April of 1960. He married Leah W. Goodwell in 1961 in Ogden. They later divorced.

While living in Lance Creek, he was employed by the Ohio Oil Company, now known as Marathon Oil Company.

Survivors include one son, Thomas A. of Stevensville, Mt; one daughter, Bennis McKibben of Ogden, UT; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren and one sister, Ester Hall of Pocatello, ID.
