Mrs. Jim Roberts Dies Wednesday

Mrs. James Roberts, 64, died Wednesday morning in West Nebraska Rest Home of a lingering illness.

Funeral arrangements are pending with the Peet Chapel.

She is survived by her husband, James; three daughters, Mrs. Marguerita Wilson of Riverton, Mrs. Kathleen Bowers of Torrington, and Mrs. Evelyn Erspamer of San Clemente, Calif.; seven sons, James and Alvin of Pomona, Calif., Harold of Manhattan Beach, Calif., Donald and Jack of Los Angeles, Wesley of Visalia, Calif. and Larry of Lusk.

Mrs. Roberts Funeral Friday

Funeral services were held from the Peet Chapel Friday for Mrs. James Roberts, 64, who died in West Nebraska Rest Home in Mitchell, Neb. last Wednesday following a lingering illness.

The Rev. Frank Bozart of the Open Bible church officiated. Mrs. A. F. DeCastro was the organist and Mrs. G. L. Pfeifer and Mrs. R. C. Bafford sang, "Beautiful Isle" and "Beyond the Sunset".

Pallbearers were: Clifford Cox, Elmer Fleming, Harry Fernau Sr., Walter Schnorenberg Jr., Richard Schnorenberg and Leslie Schnorenberg.

Leona Roberts was born December 15, 1899 at Deadwood the daughter of Charles F. and Susie Calhoun. She and James E. Roberts were married at Chadron October 31, 1919.

She is survived by her husband, James; three daughters, Mrs. Marguerita Wilson of Riverton, Mrs. Kathleen Bowers of Torrington and Mrs. Evelyn Erspamer of San Clemente, Calif.; seven sons, James and Alvin of Pomona, Calif., Harold of Manhattan Beach, Calif., Donald and Jack of Los Angeles, Wesley of Visalia, Calif. and Larry of Denver; her step-mother, Mrs. Gertrude Calhoun of Casper; one sister, Mrs. Blanche Milne of Camino, Calif.; two brothers, Fulton C. Calhoun of Torrington and Warren E. Calhoun of Cheyenne; 25 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one uncle, E. C. Calhoun of Casper.

Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

The family wishes that all friends who attended the funeral be considered as honorary pallbearers.
