Annabell Middleton

Funeral services for Annabell Middleton, 94, will be held at Pier Funeral Home Tue., Nov. 24, 2015, 10:00 a.m., with Pastor Tom Strock of the First Baptist Church officiating. Interment was in the Lusk Cemetery. She passed away at Niobrara Health and Life Center on Fri., Nov. 20, 2015.

Annabell was born Aug. 22, 1921 in Denver, Colo. to Ada (Hamble) and John Hawley. She remained in Colo. through her school years.

She worked for the war plant upon marrying Louis Goble in 1946. They had one daughter, Patricia.

Much later in life she married Robert Middleton. They spent time in Korea, Kentucky, Utah, and Wyo. where she worked at jobs in all of them. Upon Robert's retirement from civil service, they cleaned office buildings together. Eventually they made their home in Greeley, Colo. where they remained until Robert's death in 2004, at which time Annabell returned to Wyo. to be near family, residing at the Ranger Apartments until entering the nursing home in Lusk. She so enjoyed gatherings at family time, and never knew a stranger that she couldn't talk to. She attended the First Baptist Church of Lusk.

Annabell is survived by her daughter Patricia Himes of Lusk; one niece of Colo.; grandchildren Rolinda Arnold of Louisiana; Bruce and Lori Himes, Bobbie and Willis Stallman, and Cheri and Cody Thompson, all of Lusk; David and Marnie Himes of Magna, Utah; Holly Castano of Lander, Wyo.; and Misty Himes of Torrington, Wyo.; and one great-great grandchild, Jakobe Carr of Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years; son-in-law Milton Himes; brother Thomas; two sisters, Alice and Hazel; two grandchildren, Dajo Castano and LaShell Arnold; and one nephew, Howard.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, the Niobrara Senior Center, or to the donor's choice.
