Dorothy Jean Cooper, beloved wife, mother and grandmother went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 4, 2016 after an extensive illness.

Dorothy was born December 16, 1929 in Hot Springs, South Dakota to Henry and Bernice Jensen. She was the youngest of eight children.

Dorothy wed Jack Perry Cooper on December 20, 1948. They had 11 children.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, five of her siblings, son-in-law Marshall Jeffrey, and baby daughter, Noala Dee.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 67 years and love of her life Jack of Sheridan; three sons - Corvin (Gena) and Wade (Janet) of Paisley, Oregon, and Arlin (Meshelle) of Sheridan; seven daughters - Loreen (Charles) Sebesta of Casper, Myla (Randy) Flikkema of Belgrade, Montana, Wyonda (Rocky) Brewer of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma, Mona Gupton of Laramie, Loanna Jeffrey of Otoe, Nebraska, Callie (Paul) Fall of Sheridan, and Lacey (Kelby) Kretschman of Arvada; 25 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and one great great grandson; sister Clara Hodges of Bozeman, Montana, brother Carl Jensen of Custer, South Dakota; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Dorothy was remarkably humble. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to everyone she met. She touched so many people in her daily life. She was a prayer warrior who prayed for every member of her family as well as people she had never met. The family extends special thanks to all of her caregivers whom she always greeted with a smile and gratitude. A gathering in loving memory of Dorothy will be held January 11, 2016 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Champion Funeral Home. Dorothy will be laid to rest in Lusk, Wyoming.

The family has requested no flowers or donations.
