Eugene Sunday was born in Galveston, Texas on December 1, 1949.

Eugene served in the United States Army and he was a veteran of the Vietnam war.

He returned to South Vietnam after he was honorably discharged from the service and worked as a communications specialist in the presidential palace, in what was then Saigon, the capital of South Vietnam. Shortly before the North Vietnamese victory on April 30, 1975, Eugene left South Vietnam.

After leaving South Vietnam he worked in several southeast Asian and African countries as a radar technician.

Eugene went to work for the Federal Aviation Administration (F.A.A.) in 1989. He retired from the F.A.A. in late 2011.

He lived in Lusk, Wyoming for over ten years while working at radar sites throughout the state of Wyoming and Colorado.
