Ann was born June 4, 1933 in Lingle, Wyoming to William and Minnie (George) Rhoades. The family later moved to Torrington, Wyoming where she attended grade and high school.

She worked at Ben Franklin Dime Store and cleaned house for Dr. Crawl until she married Homer Petersen on September 26, 1954. They were married for 58 years; they resided on a farm north of Henry for 35 years where she loved and raised 3 children; Neil, Bryan and Lorie. They moved to Mitchell in 1989 and resided there until June 2012 when she moved to Gering to share a home with her daughter Lorie and son-in-law Randy.

Ann loved to fish, hunt, camp, spend time with her family and grandchildren, crochet, color, bowl (she was on several bowling leagues over the years), and play horseshoes (she had a great arm!). She loved to have her family around her and she prayed faithfully for all of them. And she adored her babies, Brooklyn and Amaya.

Survivors include her children Lorie (Randy) Martin of Gering, Bryan (Mindy) Petersen of Henry, Neil (Francis) Petersen of Mitchell; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild (which she loved all of them dearly).

Preceding Ann in death were her husband Homer; parents; brothers Floyd, Sid, Frank; sisters Helen, Louise, Wanda, Virginia, Lewella, and 2 infant siblings.
