The death of Murray Steffen occurred on Tuesday at 4 p.m., and his funeral occurred at 3 p.m. on Wednesday in the Congregational church.

The boy was first stricken with what was termed rheumatism and soon after changed into a peculiar combination, a twitching of the muscles, swinging the arms and a continual uneasy motion, except when under the influence of opiates.

Dr. Wilson of Douglas was called and pronounced the disease St Vitus dance. The little fellow grew no better and required continual watching. Dr. Wilson was again sent for again on Tuesday but his patient passed out of the reach of pain before he arrived.

The sympathy of the town and vicinity was manifested by the closing of business houses and the well filled church and the long procession to the grave.

Mr. and Mrs. Steffen desire to express their hearty appreciation and thanks to those who extended their sympathy and aid during the sickness of their boy. The sympathy was spontaneous and general.
