Gary Copeland
Gary Dean Copeland, 61, of Lusk passed away on Thurs., November 10, 2016 at 12:38 p.m. at his daughter's residence in Lafayette, IN. Dean was born on May 18, 1955 in Laramie, WY to the late John and Helen (Leach) Copeland. He married Mary Allen in 1973 in Farmington, MO, and they later divorced. Dean served in the Army and then went on to work as a heavy equipment operator before retiring in 2009. He enjoyed riding bulls in the rodeo. He kept busy tinkering and fixing things. He had been a member of the American Legion Post 4.
Surviving is his first wife, Mary (husband: John) Stark of Olney, IL, one daughter, Carrie Soloman of Lafayette, IN, and his beloved dog, Peanut, now of Lafayette. Also surviving, 5 siblings, Barb (husband: Steve) Lucas of Farmington, MO; Kenny (wife: Cindy) Copeland of St. Louis, MO; Jerry (wife: Charlotte) Copeland of Green River, WY; John Michael (wife: Deborah) Copeland of Kemmerer, WY; and Virgie (husband: Ron) Miller of Piedmont, MO; Mary Copeland of Piedmont, MO; and one grandchild, London Soloman II of Olney, IL.
He is preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence Copeland and James Copeland, and his partner of 9 years, Loretta Serres.
