Benny Bender, Rodeo Clown, Dies in Ariz.
Benny Bender, a well-known rodeo clown, died March 31, in Tucson, Ariz. at the age of 57 of cancer. He was burried [sic] at Mobridge, S.D., his early home on April 4.
Bender will be remembered in Lusk as her was the clown for the county fair and rodeo many times suffering a serious injury her once in an encounter with a brahma.
Bender retired from clowning and has been living with his wife in Tuscon. Serving [sic] him in addition to his wife is a daughter Billie who still follows the rodeo profession, performing as a trick roper.
