Mrs. Brus Dies in Colo. June 22

Mrs. Carl Brus, 52, former Lance Creek resident, died of cancer last Wednesday at her home in Brush, Colo.

Rosary services were held at 8:00 p.m. Sunday. Requiem mass was held at 9:00 a.m. Monday at the Catholic Church in Brush with Father Ahern officiating. Pallbearers were: Tom Wolverton, Bill Welch, Dale Leem, George Cookerly,
Verner Johnson and Leroy Gimbel. Burial was in Fort Morgan.

Rose Morris, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Morris, was born in Harris, Mo. August 24, 1908. She came to northwest Nebraska with her family when she was sixteen, her father also homesteaded in the Lance Creek area. She married Carl Brus in 1925 in Crawford, coming to lance Creek in 1936 where they made their home until Mr. Brus was transferred to Brush in November 1954.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Lou Kirk, Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Karlyn Holbeck, Fort Morgan; Three sons, Harold of Lewistown, Mont., John of Linch and Charles, Lusk; three sisters, Mrs. Blanche Bignell, Alliance, Mrs. Fern Allen, Torrington and Mrs. Freida Emphfield, Casper.
