Glenn Darnall Funeral Held in Fort Laramie

Funeral service was held December 17 at the Fort Laramie Community Church at 2:00 p.m. for Glenn J. Darnall, 77, a former Lusk resident.

Mr. Darnall died December 15 at Pioneer Manor at Gillette where he has been a resident for the past four years.

The service was conducted by Mary Bahmer with Lois Woodard as organist and Betty O'Brien, soloist.

Honorary pallbearers were Ira Lamb, Howard Hayworth, L.T. Bonner, Ed Allen, Bill Latta, Chuck Scott, Ralph Berg, Glen Kuskie,C.C. Paules and Clarence Jones.

Casket bearers were Herbert Pomeroy, Ronnie Darnall, Louie Loveland, Gary Robinson, Evan Paules and Robert . Interment was at the Fort Laramie cemetery.

Glenn John Darnall was born near Garland, Neb., Jan. 26, 1897, the son of James and Susan Darnall and grew up in that area. January 1, 1919, he married Besse Chapman of Steward, Neb.

The family came to Wyoming in 1919 residing on a farm neat Ft. Laramie. In 1934 they moved north to Ft. Laramie where he was employed until 1946 when they moved to Lusk. They resided in Lusk until Mrs. Darnall died in August 1970. Mr. Darnall lived with his sons until he became a resident at Pioneer Manor.

Survivors include three sons, Harold of Moorcroft, Lloyd of Gillette and Robert of Columbia Falls, Mont.; three brothers, Arthur and Herbert of Ft. Laramie, Allen of Sidney, Mont.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
