Bridget Gilis Dies of Pneumonia
Bridget Gilis, 78, resident here for the past four years, died at the Spencer Hospital Tuesday morning at 3 a.m. after being ill for nine days with bronchial pneumonia.
The body was shipped to Alliance Wednesday afternoon and from there was being taken to Ellsworth for burial Thursday. Services were being held at the Catholic Church there at 10 a.m. She will be laid in the family plot beside her husband.
One son, Joe Gilis, lives here and a daughter Mrs. George Johnston previously lived here. Another son, John W. Gilis lives at Ashby and a brother Pete Carney, lives in Ellsworth.
