Mrs. Arthur Stoecken Passed Away Jan. 12th

Mrs. Arthur Stoceken passed away at Evanston, Wyo. last Thursday morning, January 12th and the remains were brought back to Lusk for burial.

Mrs. Stoecken had been committed to the state hospital at Evanston about two weeks previous and the word of her death so soon thereafter came as a shock to friends although she had been in failing health for some time.

Funeral services were held from the chapel room of the Peet Mortuary on Sunday afternoon at two o'clock with P.H. Evans of the Baptist church officiating.

Burial was made in the Lusk cemetery.

OBITUARY

Mabelle C. Baird was born in Custer Park, Illinois in 1886 where she received her education. In 1913 she came to South Dakota and located on a homestead. In 1934 she was married to Arthur Stoecken and recently they have been living about four miles south of Lusk.

Besides her husband, she is survived by three brother, W. Baird, Broadview, Mont., George Baird, Joliet, Ill., and John Baird, Chicago, Ill., and also a sister of Kankakee, Ill.
