Funeral Services for E.D. McClung Held Monday, February 13

Funeral services for Elonzo D.McClung were held from the Peet Mortuary Monday afternoon, February 13th at two o'clock.

Mr. McClung passed away at Evanston, Wyo., February 8th. He had been in poor health since last October and was a patient in the Douglas hospital when committed to the state hospital at Evanston about two weeks prior to his death.

Mr. and Mrs. McClung and family came to Wyoming in 1909 and located in the vicinity of Jireh later moving to Manville where he resided until leaving for Evanston.

Elonzo D.McClung was born in Moultrey County, Illinois near the town of Lovington on August 22nd, 1893 and passed February 8th, 1939 at the age of 75 years, 5 months and 14 days.

He moved to the state of Iowa when 16 years of age and was united in marriage to Francis Ostrander in Climbing Hill, Iowa in the year 1881. To this union were born three daughters, Mrs. J.A. Kirkpatrick of Sioux City, Iowa; Mrs. R.C. Hylton of New Virginia, Iowa, and Mrs. L.E. Lincoln of Englewood, Colorado. Also two sons Ciell and William McClung of Omaha, Nebr.

He is survived by his widow who is residing in Englewood, Colo. with her daughter, Mrs. Lincoln, and by his sons and daughters and many friends.

Following the funeral services at the Peet Mortuary, the remains were taken to Jireh where burial was made in the cemetery at that place.

The pallbearers were: Walter Scot, Legrand Lee, Dutch Burd, and D.W. Wilson.

"In the Garden," "Open the Door for the Children," and "Lord I'm Coming Home" were sung by Mrs. Abdon DeCastro and Mrs. Cobb, with Mrs. J.P. Watson accompanying at the piano.
