Funeral services will be held for Connie Fay Taylor, 75, at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the Gorman Funeral Homes – Converse Chapel in Douglas, Wyoming with Kenny Simonton officiating. Inurnment will be in the Douglas Park Cemetery, coffee to follow at Douglas Senior Citizens Center, 340 First Street West.

Connie Taylor, a resident of Douglas, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2019 at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming.

Connie was born Sunday, December 12, 1943 in Lusk, Wyoming the daughter of Harry Allen and Mary Alice (Brunckhorst) Sides. She was raised on a ranch north of Lusk with her brother, Wayne Sides and sister, Marsha (Sides) Henderson. She graduated Lusk High School and then attended Park Business School in Denver, Colorado. Upon returning to Lusk for a short period of time, Connie then moved to Douglas and married Kenneth Eugene “Kenny” Taylor. To this union they had two children, Todd Taylor and Tanna Taylor. She then started her own business called the “Black Horse Ranch”. Together with her husband, they owned and operated a successful drilling company, “K.E. Taylor Drilling Inc.”.

Connie touched many lives and helped many people. She was a very respected horse woman and an avid supporter of the Appaloosa breed.

She is survived by her children, Todd A. (Harlene B.) Taylor of Glendo, Wyoming and Tanna L. (Colton D.) Rodeman of Douglas; sister, Marsha L. Henderson of Douglas; granddaughters, Ashley (Ryan) Underwood, Sasha Taylor (Bryce Barrick), and Taylor Rodeman; and great grandsons, Rythen Underwood, Laythen Underwood, and Samual Taylor.

Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny, on May 15, 2008; father, Harry, on September 27, 1972; mother, Mary, on April 29, 2004; and brother, Wayne Allen Sides, on July 2, 2011.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Bud Alexander, Jerry Griffin, Jerry Bryson, Jose Lopez, Buster Lull, Justin Bekelja, Mark Gibson, Ben Ramos, Thad Alexander, and Mike Anderson.

A memorial to the Douglas Senior Citizens Center, P.O. Box 192, Douglas, Wyoming 82633 would be appreciated by the family.
