George Turnbull Dies at Lusk Hospital; Funeral Thursday
George Turnbull, 67 years old, a resident of Wyoming since 1904, died at the Lusk Hospital, Tuesday, July 8, at 3:15 o'clock, after an illness of about three weeks, caused by a stroke of paralysis.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the Midwest Mortuary, who will be in charge of the arrangements.
Re. Edwin Irwin will officiate, and the pallbearers will be A.E. Johnston, Hugo Payne, John Cordell, R.I. Olinger, F.J. Montague and Ed Jones.
Mr. Turnbull was born in Illinois, and when 15 years of age moved to McClaire, Okla. there he married Miss Molly Terry. Three children were born to the union, Mrs. George Wedden, deceased, Mrs. Jack Potts of Chadron, Neb., and Roy Turnbull of Lusk,
Mr. Turnbull came to Wyoming in 1904, and settled at Newcastle. In 1918 he homesteaded on Lightning Creek, and has made his home there and with his children since that time.
