Martha McReynolds

Martha Simpson was born in Mackinaw, Illinois, June 8th, 1861, and died at Manville, Wyoming, after a short illness on April 19th, 1930. She grew to womanhood in central Illinois and was married to Wm. McReynolds on August 18th, 1880, at Bloomington, Illinois. To this union five children were born:

Mrs. Abbie Shaw, Denver, Colo.

Miss Della McReynolds, Manville, Wyo.

Mrs. Alice Spaugh, Hollywood, Cal.

Joseph P. McReynolds, Hyattville, Maryland.

Merton, who died at Manville, on May 2, 1895.

Mr. and Mrs. McReynolds resided in Illinois until 1889, when they moved to Hamilton County, Neb., remaining there until 1893, when they moved to Wyoming, where they lived on a ranch south of Manville, where they have resided ever since.

Mrs. McReynolds joined the Christian Church in her youth. she attended the Methodist Church in Manville, and her children were regular attendants at Sunday school. Her daughter, Abbie, a member of this church, was organist for several years. Mrs. McReynolds lived an exemplary life in our midst for thirty-seven years and leaves a host of neighbors and friends to mourn her departure.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. Reed Kessler in the Manville M.E. Church and interment was  made in the Manville Cemetery.
