Lusk friends were grieved to hear of the seemingly untimely death of Clement Seaman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Seaman, at his home in Harrison, Friday evening, November 16, 1923.

His death was the result of an accident in a football game which was being played with the Chadron team on the Harrison gridiron.

In some way he was thrown to the ground and struck his head with such force as to fracture his skull. He died a few hours later without regaining consciousness.

Clement Seaman was born in Edgemont, S.D., December 2, 1908 and passed away at his home in Harrison, Nebr., Friday evening, November 16, at the age of 14 years, 11 months and 14 days.

Part of his life was spent with his parents on a ranch on Old Woman creek, north of Lusk.

Several years ago they moved to Harrison where he was attending high school at the time of his death, He was president of his class and captain of the football team.

He attended school in Long Beach, Cal., for two years but wished to return to Harrison and graduate with his class.

He was a member of the Methodist church and a boy liked and admired by all. Funeral services were held from the high school building Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. D.J. Clark of Hat Creek, an old-time friend of the family, assisted Reverend Briggs with the service.

The number in attendance and the beautiful floral offerings  showed the esteem in which he was held.

He is survived by his parents and two brothers, one older and the other younger.
