J. V. White Passes Away

It is learned with sorrow and regret that J.V. White, who had gone to Omaha some ten days ago for treatment, succumbed to Bright's disease last Thursday night. Mrs. White and his son, Harry, were with him at the last, but the rest of the family were unable to reach his bedside in time to see him alive. Last Saturday the remains were taken to Mitchell, S.D., his old home where interment was made Tuesday.

Mr. White was of large physique, jovial and hearty in his manner, had many friends and was an enthusiastic exponent of dry-farming to which he had of late been giving a good deal of attention. He was a member of Harmony Lodge, No. 24, A.F & A.M., and his brother Masons at their regular meeting, Tuesday night, appointed a committee to draft up appropriate resolutions, he being the first member of the lodge to be removed by the "Grim Reaper."
