A funeral service for Karson Michael Yorges, 18, was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2022 at the Guernsey-Sunrise High School Gymnasium with The Reverend Joel Dingman officiating.

Karson Yorges passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022 as a result of a motor vehicle accident near Wheatland.

Karson Michael Yorges was blessed to this earth on Thursday, September 18, 2003 in Douglas. His mom, Karman and dad, Michael brought him home to two loving but often antagonistic brothers, Justin and Brandon. His early life was full of Thomas the Tank Engine, because trains were his thing, and fishing with Grandpa Ralph. As he grew, so did his interests. Soon he was spending a lot of time playing Mario sunshine, cultivating a taste for the Denver Broncos and his new hero, Peyton Manning.

His was a great student, but that may have simply been because he was brilliant and never met a course he couldn’t master. As a teen he developed a love for politics and was always looking for an opportunity to debate them. He developed deep friendships and loved to hang out with Afton, Dakota, and Josiah. These young people played basketball and video games and we are sure solved all the problems of their young world. He had been accepted to the University of Wyoming where he had planned on majoring in Business and Computer Sciences.

He loved his mom, Karman. They spent time together driving and listening to music. If the day was too long and the moment too hard, they spent the evening curled up with the dogs watching a movie or two. Recently he and his mother found another way to spend time together, she and his cousin Kyle, introduced him to the art of throwing darts. He excelled at this like he did everything else, taking 4th place in the 18-20 age range at the Wyoming State Dart Tournament. He and his mom got along famously and only disagreed about his hairstyle. His “afro” hairstyle was his signature and he pushed that topic regularly with his mom.

He loved and respected his dad, Michael. They played catch in the front yard or basketball at the playground Before COVID they were regular movie goers, saving 3-D glasses and ticket stubs after every adventure.

Karson will be remembered as ornery, brilliant, loving and helpful. Karson is survived by his mom, Karman Krein; dad, Michael Yorges; brothers, Justin and Brandon Krein; maternal grandparents, Herbert “Butch” and Karen Hogan; paternal grandmother, Sandra Yorges; and aunts, Kim (Shawn) Bruegger and Millisa (Pat) Bookout.

He was preceded in death by his grandpa Ralph Yorges. We are sure they are finding a really good fishing hole in Heaven.

A memorial to the Kindness Ranch Animal Sanctuary, http://kindnessranch.org/produ... or to Waggin’ Tails Shelter, 436 East 22nd Avenue, Torrington, Wyoming 82240 would be appreciated by the family.

The Gorman Funeral Homes – Platte Chapel of Wheatland are in charge of the arrangements.
