Mrs. Meigs Cork Dies, Service Here on Sunday

Funeral service was held Sunday at the Peet Chapel for Mrs. Meigs (Orletha) Cork who died February 16 at the Swedish Medical Center, Englewood, Colo.

The Rev. Robert W. Nowling, chaplain at the Medical Center, granddaughter Traci Lea Haines, officiated with Mrs. Lawrence Anderson organist accompanying singers Mrs. Coreen Bafford and Mrs. Bessie Pfeifer as they sang "In the Garden" and "You'll Never Walk Alone."

Casket bearers were Bus Gautschi, Don Whiteaker, Dale Fullerton, Ed Stube, Robert Templeton and James Shillenn. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Mildred Orletha Robison was born August 1, 1913, in Edgemont S.D. to Fred and Leona Robison. She attended school in Edgemont and was a member of the Methodist Church.

On January 6, 1934, she was married to Meigs "Mike" Lionel Cork in Custer, S.D. The couple had one daughter Mrs. Charles (Juanita Louise) Haines now of Pueblo. Colo.

In March 1937 the family moved to Lusk. Mrs. Cork was a member of the Congregational Church, the Order of the Eastern Star serving as Worthy Matron around 1954. She worked for the J. C. Penny Company for 11 years and also McKnights and Whitekers clothing stores.

In September 1966 the family moved to Denver where she remained until the time of her death.

In addition to her husband and daughter she is survived by a granddaughter Traci Lea Haines, Pueblo, and other relatives.
