A funeral service for Dovie Heth, 81, who passed away in Lusk on Thursday, Dec.29, 2022, has been changed to Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023 at 2 p.m.at Pier Funeral Home due to impending bad weather.

Dovie Louise Heth passed away December 29, 2022, at the Niobrara Community Hospital long-term care. Funeral Services were held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 10, 2022 at the Pier Funeral Home in Lusk. Interment was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Dovie was born to Gertie Ethyl (Fidler) and John Thomas Blackledge on May 12, 1941, in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. She was one of ten children and one of the two children to receive a high school diploma. She worked as a waitress and also as a staff member of the Lusk hospital, first in the laundry/cleaning department and later as a CNA when she proudly achieved her CNA license.

Dovie raised six children in Yakama, Washington, and later married Rex Lee Heth in Lusk, Wyoming on November 22, 1981, and became a step-mother to six children and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dovie is survived by Don McCart, Johnny McCart, Brenda Burnite, Jerry McCart, William McCart, Loren Heth, David Heth, Roxie Houston, Kathleen Lobato and Pamela Pridgeon.

Memorials may be made to the Niobrara Community Hospital long-term care.
