Cecil B. Montgomery

Graveside services for Cecil B. Montgomery, 91, will be conducted at 11 a,m, Thursday at Valley View Cemetery by Rev. Marilyn McGraw.

Mrs. Montgomery died June 22, 1993, at Regional West Medical center in Scottsbluff, Neb. She was born Aug. 5, 1901, the daughter of Malter and Martha (Lohr) Larson at Lusk where she grew up and attended school.

She married Frank Holdeman in Douglas in 1920, and they lived in the Hat Creek area near Lusk. The couple moved to Yoder area in 1923, and then to Torrington in 1941. Mr. Holdeman died in 1942. On Sept. 15, 1946, she married Walter Montgomery in Torrington. He died in 1978. Mrs. Montgomery moved to Northfield Villa in 1988.

 She was a member of the First Wyoming United Presbyterian Church in Torrington and the American Legion Auxiliary of Travis Snow Post No. 5.

Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie Lyman of Gering; a sister Geneva McConahey of Lusk; a stepdaughter, Doris Owings of Kingman, Ariz.; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brother and two sisters.

Friends may call at the Colyer Funeral Home in Torrington on Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Memorials to the First Wyoming United Presbyterian Church would be appreciated by the family.
