Ruth M. Christensen
Ruth passed away on January 17, 2014 at the age of 89. Ruth was born
to Nathanial Orr McGurk and Louise (Dinkle) McGurk on November 9, 1924
in Patterson, New Jersey where she lived until she went to Nursing
School and then into the Army.
Russ and Ruth were married September 5, 1953 and were together for 60
years and raised 3 sons: Chris Michael, Thomas Joseph, and William
(Bill) Russell Christensen. Russ and Ruth are survived by their sons Tom
(Deb) Chris- tensen and Bill (Betty) Christensen and many
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Russ and Ruth are preceded in death by their parents, son Chris,
brother Fred Christensen, sister Jean (Christensen) Freeman, Doris (Mc-
Gurk) Lovenduskie and nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 1 p.m.
at Weston County Senior Center. Condolences may be sent to the family
