Veneda Erdeen Trout
ST. PARIS, OHIO – Veneda Erdeen Trout, 89, of St Paris, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, in Aventura of Oakwood.
She was born on April 25, 1936, in Edgemont, South Dakota to Merritt C. and Agnes (Vandewater) Wallace.
Veneda enjoyed playing the piano and the organ and was gifted with the ability to play many instruments. Painting was one of her favorite hobbies, allowing her to express her creativity. She had a small circle of close friends whom she cherished deeply, and they, along with her daughter Melody, meant the world to her.
She is survived by her children, Melody M. Serres, Andrew W. (Terry Jo) Serres, Edward J. (Tammy) Serres, and Eric C. Serres; four grandchildren, Stacey Jackson, Amanda Major, Brandon (Jamie Jenkins), and Chey- anna Serres; sister, Carrol Schnurr; and 27 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, James E. Serres and Walter F. Trout; daughter, Michelle Serres; sister, Almetta (Dugald) Richardson; brothers, Gerald and Quinton Wallace; and brother-in-law, Clarance Schnurr.
Arrangements have been entrusted to ATKINS-SHIVELY-VERNON Funeral Home, St. Paris, Ohio.
