Timothy DeVeny, 81, Dies in Oregon

Timothy C. DeVeny, 81, of Salem, Ore., formerly of Lusk, died at his home Friday, of a heart attack. Funeral services were held Monday at Ringo-Cornwell Funeral Chapel in Woodburn, Ore. Burial was in the Willamette National Cemetery at Portland, Ore. The Rev. John McBride S. J. officiated. Recitation of the Rosary was held Sunday evening.

He was born at McCook, Nebr., January 7, 1888. He was reared at Indianola, Nebr., and made his home there until 1914. After serving in the U. S. Army during World War I he came to Lusk and took up a homestead where he lived until 1947 when he moved to a farm near Salem.

Survivors include his widow, Mary White DeVeny, one daughter, Mrs. Lucille McReal of Salem, three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
