George Ferguson Dies in Powell

Funeral service will be held at the Peet Chapel at 11:00 a.m. this Thursday for George Benton Ferguson, 89, who died at the Powell Nursing Home early Monday morning.

Mr. Ferguson was born April 26, 1885, the son of Mr. And Mrs. Austin Ferguson at Litchfield, Neb. He married Ruby Smith in 1908 at Mason City, Neb. She died in January 1946, and he married Linnie Hill in 1949.

Mr. Ferguson came to Wyoming in 1903 on a covered wagon with his parents, two brothers and a sister. He later homesteaded at Brush, Colo., where he ranched for about 12 years then returned to Wyoming to ranch in the Lusk area.

He moved to Powell in 1973 where he lived with his son Lloyd.

Survivors include three sons, Clinton, Denver; Clifford, Salem Ore.; and Lloyd of Powell and a sister Mrs. Florence Scott, Ravenna, Neb.
