Mary Ann Hughes

Funeral Liturgy for Mary Ann Hughes, 71, were held at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 13, 1993, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Casper with Msgr. James O'Neil officiating.

Vigil for the deceased was recited at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 12, 1993, at Bustard Funeral Home. Rite of Committal was conducted at Highland Cemetery.

Hughes died April 10, 1993, at Poplar Living Center following a short illness. She was born July 25, 1921, in Harrison, Neb., the daughter of John and Anna (Meyer) Hourt.

She was raised and educated in Harrison, graduating from Sioux County High School in 1939.

On Jan. 25, 1941, she married Conrad C. Hughes in Harrison. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Casper where her husband was employed as a trucker.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and fancy embroidery. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1973, her son Darold D. Hughes in 1975; two brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Ronda Hancock of Casper and Norman Hughes; a brother, John F. Hourt of Casper and several great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Blue Envelope Heart or Cancer Fund would be appreciated by the family. Memorials may be left at Bustard Funeral Home which was in charge of arrangements.
