Services for Chester Flick are held Friday

Funeral services for Chester Flick, 73, were held Friday, Sept. 17, at 3:00 p.m. from the Peet Chapel.

Reverend James Davis officiated. Mrs. Emerson Bonner and Mrs. Lyle Eddy sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "Rock of Ages." Organist was Mrs. A. F. DeCastro.

Pallbearers were Ray Jenkins, H. P. Klemke, Matt Bast, Beryl Fullerton, Frank Mahnke and Delmar Alter. Burial was in the Lusk cemetery.

Chester Howard Flick was born in Chicago, April 8, 1892 to Augusta Margaret and Phillip A. Flick. With his parents he came to Wyoming in 1913 and took up a homestead 13 miles north of Lusk. Here he lived until 1917, at which time he served with the A.E.F. in France during World War I.

After being released from the service Mr. Flick returned to the homestead where he and his parents operated a successful cattle ranch. On July 17, 1937 his mother died and on May 15, 1942 his father died. He remained alone on the ranch until 1948, when he sold his cattle and moved to Lusk where he lived until the time of his death.

Mr. Flick's only living relative Philip Flick, a nephew, and a friend, Richard Geyser, both of Chicago were here for the funeral. Philip Flick is the son of his only brother, the late Harry V. Flick.

Chester Flick Dies Wednesday

Chester Flick, 73, a long-time resident of this area, was found dead in his room above the Dairy Bar Wednesday morning by a close friend, Bill Mahnke. He evidently died of a heart condition sometime after 4:00 a.m.

Funeral services will be held from the Peet Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Friday.

Mr. Flick has only one living relative, a nephew, Philip H. Flick of Chicago. Mr. Flick will be in Lusk to attend the services.

Chester Flick was born in Chicago in April 1892 and came to this area about 1913 and homesteaded.
