Jason Max Harthoorn

Funeral services for Jason Max Harthoorn, age 22, were held Saturday, July 30, 1994, at the Bader Funeral Home in Lusk, Wyo., with Pastor Harold King of St. Paul's Lutheran Church officiating. Interment was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Jason died following short illness July 27, 1994, at the V.A. Hospital in Elsmere, Del. Jason was born September 26, 1971, in Denver, Colo. He grew up in Gunnison, Colo., and San Marcos, Calif.

In November of 1989, he joined the United States Navy and was discharged in February of 1992. He was stationed in Philadelphia, Penn., where he met his very special friend, Stephanie Best.

Jason was employed as a plumber and was preparing to continue his college education. Jason enjoyed playing the guitar and writing stories and poetry. He loved going to the beach and playing with his old dog "Bandit".

In addition to his special friend, survivors include: his parents, Max Harthoorn of Grand Junction, Colo., and Ron and Nan Beckman of Cheyenne, Wyo.; one sister, Julie Harthoorn of San Marcos, Calif.; his maternal grandparents, Clarence W. and Bonnie Ausborn of Lusk, Wyo.; his paternal grandparents, Paul and Tris Choate of Grand Junction, Colo.; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Condolences may be sent to the family in care of P.O. Box 425, Lusk, Wyo. 82225. Memorials will be placed in an educational fund for Julie Harthoorn, Jason's sister, c/o Bonnie and Ozzie Ausborn.

Bader Funeral Home of Lusk was in charge of arrangements.
