Sophie J. Klemke

Services for Sophie J. Klemke, 83, were conducted at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at Bader Funeral Home by the Rev. Harold King. Interment followed at the Lusk Cemetery.

Mrs. Klemke died Oct. 31, 1994, at the Niobrara Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. She was born Mar. 21, 1911, in Lusk to John G. Jassman and Amelia Buchholz.

On Mar. 23, 1932, she married Henry (Hank) Klemke in Lusk. She was a housewife and assisted her husband with all phases of the family ranch located seven miles N.W. of Lusk. They moved to Lusk in the late 1960's and built their retirement home.

Mrs. Klemke was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Lusk and a former member of the Divide Tumbleweed Homemakers Club. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and especially working with the livestock.

Preceding her in death were her parents; four brothers, Christian, Harold, William and John; one sister, Elsie Buchholz, and a step-daughter, Phyllis Gaukel.

Survivors include two sisters, Kathryn Jugler of Lusk, and Emilia Anderson, of Newcastle. Numerous nieces and nephews. Two step-grandchildren, Terrie Morrison and Gerald Gaukel, both of Casper.

Friends called at the Bader Funeral Home from 2-6 Friday and Saturday until the time of the service.

Flowers and memorials to St. Paul's Lutheran Church will be equally appreciated by family.

The Bader Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
