Clifford Lindley, 82, Dies Friday

Clifford Gray Lindley, 82, of Lusk, died at Sheridan, Friday. Funeral services were conducted from the Peet Chapel in Lusk Tuesday at 2:p.m. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

The Rev. Allen E. Page of the Open Bible Church officiated. Mrs. J. P. Watson, organist, accompanied Mrs. Richard Korns and Mrs. Jack Hammond as they sang "Pearly Gates Will Open" and "Precious Lord Take My Hand."

Casket bearers were Eldon Alexander, Dennis Bachlet, Alan Johnson, Jim Mueller, David Steele and Floyd Immesoete.

Mr. Lindley was a son of Henry Martin and Nancy Jane Lindley and was born September 22, 1886 at Sharpsburg, Iowa. He received his education and grew into manhood in Bedford, Iowa.

He married Edith Cullison at St. Joseph, Mo. December 24, 1914. In 1918 he moved with his family to Wyoming and settled on a homestead and worked for the railroad near Shawnee. In 1924 they moved to Manville and for the past 21 years have resided in Lusk.

As a young man he united with the Baptist Church in Bedford and later transferred his membership to the Open Bible Church of Lusk.

His parents, one brother, and two sisters died previously.

Survivors include his widow Edith of Lusk; five children, Mrs. Clifford (Zola) Wilson, Shelton, Wash.; Mrs. Alvin (Doris) Alexander, Manville; Mrs. Earl (Lois) Knee, Sacramento, Calif.; Mrs. Jack (Marjorie) Lee, Sheridan; and Roger Lindley, Newcastle; one sister, Mrs. Leah Winder of Lusk; 16 grandchildren , 25 great-grandchildren.
