LUTHER P. MARTIN DIES ON THURSDAY

Death claimed Luther P. Martin at the Lusk Hospital on Thursday, December 20, 1945.

Mr. Martin was born at Mapleton, Iowa, January 15, 1873 and came to Wyoming in October of 1910 and homesteaded 30 miles northeast of Lusk, where he built up a ranch in the Magoon vicinity. On Thanksgiving Day of 1918 he was married to Miss Rose Margaret Bast at Lusk.

They continued to make their home on their homestead until 1943, when because of poor health, Mr. and Mrs. Martin left the ranch and have resided in Manville and Lusk since that time.

Besides his wife he is survived by two brothers, Ben Martin of Lance Creek, and Charles Martin of Chambers, Nebr., and two sisters, Mrs. Edna Creely of Isle, Minn., and Mrs. Amy Jones of Phoenix, Arizona.

Rosary services were held in the Peet Chapel at 7:30 Sunday evening by Father Miller.

Funeral services were held from the Peet Chapel, Monday morning, December 24, at 11 o'clock with the Rev. Father Miller officiating.

Music was furnished by George Gibson and Miss Pauline Bruch, accompanied by Mrs. J.P. Watson.

The casket bearers were Roy Raine, Joe Gerl, J.P. Costlow, Roy Porter, Ralph McFarlane and John Goddard.

Interment was made in the Lusk Cemetery.
