Floyd Mills Dies September 24
Floyd Mills, 77, of Lusk died September 24 from the complications of old age. Funeral services were held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. from Peet's Chapel with Rev. Albert Gode officiating. Burial was made at Gordon, Nebr.
Mrs. A. F. DeCastro and Mrs. Emerson Bonner sang "Abide With Me" and "Rock of Ages." Mrs. J. P. Watson was organist. Charles Blagg and Johnny Boatright assisted by relatives of the deceased were pallbearers.
Floyd Earl Mills was born February 11, 1881 in Jackson County, Wis. He moved with his parents to Hay Springs, Nebr. in 1886. He married Lucy Edith Johnson in April 1900. They were the parents of ten children. Mrs. Mills died in 1937. Two daughters and one son also previously died. He has been making his home with his daughter, Mrs. Fred Bertram of Lusk.
Survivors include three sons, four daughters, two sisters, 21 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
