Evelyn Alice Osborne

Services for Evelyn Alice Osborne, 75, of Fort Collins, Colo., a former Lusk resident, were held Friday, Dec. 6, 1991 at 2 p.m. at Bates-Gould Funeral Home in Alliance, Neb. Interment was in the Alliance City Cemetery in Alliance.

Osborne died in a Fort Collins nursing home on Monday, Dec. 2. She was born Dec. 3, 1915 in Alliance, Neb., to Andrew and Jesse Haney Jones. She married Homer L. Osborne on March 6, 1936, in Broken Bow, Neb.

Osborne worked as a bookkeeper for Pat Griffin Company, Gas and Oil Distributor for 10 years and as a bank teller in Lusk, Wyo. She lived in Lusk for 13 years, then moved to Loveland for two years before moving to Fort Collins in 1961.

Among her activities were ESA Sorority. She was raised in Hyannis, Neb., where she taught country school. She was affiliated with the Congregational Church.

She is survived by her husband, Homer, of Fort Collins; a son, James Osborne of Craig, Colo.; a daughter, Donna Osborne, Fort Collins; brothers, Pete Jones, Mullen, Neb.; Donald Jones, Ogalala, Neb.; William Jones, Keystone, Neb.

She also is survived by six sisters; Bernice Wright, Hyannis; Maxine Osborne, Fort Collins; Edna Graham, Alliance; Shirley Gillespie, Omaha; Joanne McMaster, Denver and Janet Burt, So. Dakota. She is survived by one grandson, Aaron Osborne of Craig, Colo.

Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Warren-Bohlender Funeral Chapel. The Warren-Bohlender Funeral Chapel and Fort Collins Crematory were in charge of arrangements.
