Villa Mabel Rea

Services for Villa Mabel Rea, age 56, of Lusk will be conducted Wednesday, May 25, at 2:00 p.m., at the Bader Funeral Home with Rev. Del Cowley of the First Baptist Church officiating.

The casket will remain closed at all times and burial will follow the service at the Lusk Cemetery.

Villa Rea died at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper on May 20, 1994, of cancer.

She was born in Lusk, Wyo., on April 26, 1938, to Howard and Clara Zimmerman Haworth. She grew up in the Lusk and Harrison, Neb., areas, attending rural school in Niobrara County and graduating from Niobrara County High School in 1956. On June 24, 1956, she married Thomas Rea and they were later divorced.

At the age of 14, she started working as a waitress and spent her entire life as a cafe worker and manager. She enjoyed pleasing her customers with her excellent cooking. Villa worked until her death. She also loved to bowl and was one of those who was instrumental in starting the Alumni Association of Lusk.

She was preceded in death by her father, an infant brother and grandparents.

She is survived by a daughter, Clara Jo Stull of Jeffery City; two sons, Jack and wife Teresa Rea of Hanceville, Ala.; Bill and wife Darlene Rea of Lusk; Clara Haworth, her mother, also of Lusk; seven grandchildren, uncles, aunts and numerous cousins.

Memorials to the family would be appreciated.
